About

Hi, I’m Pooja Rabheru,
the human behind Pulse Leadership.

Where It All Started

My career began as a paramedic, working at pace in moments where trust, calm and clarity mattered most. I quickly learnt that how we lead under pressure shapes outcomes, not just processes.

I naturally moved into educator roles early on: mentoring students, supporting new starters and helping teams build confidence in complex environments.

The Real Problem I Kept Seeing

Across nursing homes, community teams, research settings and clinical education, one thing became clear:

People were being promoted into leadership… without being supported to lead.

Brilliant, capable humans were left to “figure it out,” often feeling overwhelmed and isolated and the ripple effects showed in morale, culture and patient care.

That became the driver for everything I do.

Growing into Leadership, Culture and OD

As my work grew into organisational development, inclusive leadership, culture improvement and staff experience, my focus stayed the same:

Help people feel seen, heard and equipped to do their best work.

From leading Equity, Diversity and Inclusion projects and research projects to shaping leadership and engagement programmes across NHS Trusts, I saw the power of development that is both human and practical.

Why Pulse Leadership Exists

Pulse Leadership exists because I believe workplace culture shouldn’t be accidental – it should be created intentionally.

Because when leaders are supported, people feel it.

And when people feel it, cultures shift.

And when cultures shift, workplaces become places people can thrive and grow.

My Approach

Practical

Turning insight into action with tools that help people and teams

Leadership and organisational development can become abstract very quickly. My focus is the opposite: clear, grounded, real-world support that leaders and teams can actually use.

That means:

  • Workshops that translate theory into behaviour change
  • Tools and techniques people can apply the next day, not just admire on a slide
  • Facilitated conversations that move teams toward clarity, trust and alignment
  • Interventions that shift culture not just in the moment, but in how people genuinely show up

My aim is always the same: create practical change that sticks.

Human - Centred

A human-first approach that helps every voice feel seen and heard

My background in paramedicine, education and equity, diversity and inclusion taught me one truth: organisations thrive when their people feel safe, valued and understood.

So I build every programme, workshop and conversation around people, not processes.

That looks like:

  • Sessions that create psychological safety, not performance pressure
  • Space for lived experience, real stories and honest reflection
  • Leadership support that is compassionate but also transformative
  • A commitment to fairness, belonging and understanding the system behind behaviour

Evidence Led

Blending evidence and curiosity to create meaningful, measurable change.

Good leadership isn’t guesswork. My work is informed by evidence, insight and thoughtful practice – whether that’s data, organisational feedback, behavioural research or reflective inquiry.

This includes:

  • Using insights, trends and feedback to shape meaningful interventions
  • Drawing on research-backed leadership and OD approaches
  • Applying tools like psychometrics and engagement findings to drive clarity and alignment
  • Combining lived experience with thoughtful analysis to create impact

Evidence-Led means the work we do together is intentional, informed and effective

Who I Work With

I partner with purpose-driven organisations that care deeply about the people they serve whether that’s patients, service users, customers or communities.

Although my foundations are in healthcare, my approach applies anywhere. Whether your end users are patients, clients, customers or communities, the goal is the same:

Leaders who support people well create better outcomes for everyone.

I work with organisations that want to:

  • build leadership capability with intention

  • strengthen culture, belonging and trust

  • support people through change

  • create environments where teams feel valued, motivated and equipped to do meaningful work

Whether you’re a charity, public sector organisation, social enterprise or a values-led business, I help you develop leaders who create cultures people want to be part of.

Because when leaders lead with clarity, empathy and purpose,
the people they serve feel the difference.

Curious What We Could Create Together?

If you’re ready to invest in your people, strengthen culture or explore meaningful change,

I’d love to hear from you.

You don’t need a perfectly formed plan.
Just a desire to create a workplace where people feel valued, supported and able to do their best work.
